Degenija restaurant

One of the leading enogastronomic oases of Plitvice Valleys

Named after the protected Velebit flower, Degenija restaurant offers many specialities of Croatian and international cuisine in a modern and pleasant environment. The speciality for which it is famous is the freshly caught trout from the Gacka river, while guests especially praise the Degenija veal steak in mushroom sauce with homemade gnocchi. As expected, the youngest guests adore superb pizzas from a brick oven and desserts created by the hard-working hands and imagination of the restaurant’s pastry chefs. Seasonally or to order, Degenija restaurant also offers two Croatian national meat classics – veal under the lid, and spit-roasted lamb or suckling pig.

The restaurant is located next to the D1 state road, so it is easily accessible to everyone. Another reason for visiting the restaurant is the new and modern interior introduced in mid-2020. The renowned architectural studio 4UHA gave the interior a striking appearance, soothing like the nature that surrounds it, and the exterior of Degenija fits perfectly into the magical landscape of Plitvice.
